Kingsbury Water Park
Warwickshire, straddled by M42

Kingsbury Water Park, not far from the Belfry Golf Course and Sutton Coldfield, is split right down the middle by the M42 motorway. Visually Kingsbury has a lot to offer but audio leaves a lot to be desired with the incessant background noise of the motorway vehicles thundering past masking much of the bird song prevalent on the entrance side of the park. Once you pass underneath the motorway into the western side of the park, the noise dwindles to a mere murmur the further around the lakes you go. Depending of course on wind. At the Curdworth Locks on the Birmingham-Fazeley canal, you would not think a motorway was so near! The following images were taken by me in succession as my wife and I meandered about the park this very day. All in all a nice day, apart from the noise in the eastern part of the park! Part of the park we did not visit hosts water sports such as yachting and jet ski's. Far too noisy.
