Worcester
September 6th 2013. Started off as drizzly
and bleak, but not unpleasant. Spent only 3 hours there but will be returning
for another look around.
Went into the Museum and Art Gallery to see an
advertised exhibition on Egypt only to find it finished LAST WEEK! Not happy.

Prince Arthur Tomb, and below. Arthur Tudor,
Prince of Wales (19/20
September 1486 – 2 April 1502) was the first son of King
Henry VII of England and Elizabeth
of York. He died before his father. When Henry VII died, Arthur's
younger brother Henry, became king as King

King John is buried here having died in 1216.
This time around we missed his grave, being in front of the Altar, but
will take pictures next visit. Bad king he may well have been but we must also remember that his brother Richard prefered to be fighting crusades than ruling his country and was also not a good king. ![]() |
