Pickering North Yorkshire Railway 2001, 2003, 2004

In September 2001 I was in Yorkshire and, on the way home, visited the North Yorkshire Railway at Pickering.  More visits below

Pickering Railway Station. North Yorkshire Steam Railway. Sept 9 2001.  Unfortunately the day I chose to visit this station was a Children's Day and buntings were everywhere. Also, on the front of these proud locomotives, were placed masks of children's programme "Thomas the Tank Engine" which completely ruined the locomotive's splendour. Therefore you will see that none of the following images show the front of the loco's.

Locomotive sitting at the platform at Pickering Station -you will see an image of this in Grosmont below in 2006

Scene at Pickering Station. Some of those buntings in evidence. Mind you, it could almost be a photo of VE Day 1945!

Another view of the railway station at Pickering, North Yorkshire. This time looking up track. Sept 9 2001.

A beautiful loco. A2 Class 4-6-2 60532 "Blue Peter" on arrival at Pickering Station. Sept 9 2001.
